Gain hands-on experience in the fundamentals of lino cutting and printing at this fun full day workshop.

Led by Mel Bennett, this workshop is perfect for beginners in lino printing, who will use the beautiful scenery around them to inspire their lino artwork.

We’ll get this fun and relaxed day off to a great start with a guided nature walk of Bere Marsh Farm by CRT’s Community Engagement Manager and wildlife enthusiast – Nick Dobbs. This will include an exclusive visit to the Angela Hughes Nature Reserve. The walk will allow Mel and the participants to immerse themselves in nature and help provide inspirational ideas for their lino designs.

Returning to the rustic setting of the Threshing Barn, we will enjoy a complimentary tea or coffee and pastry or cake from The Buzz Café. Mel will then expertly guide you through your design and make a start on lino cutting before breaking for lunch at around 12.30pm

Grab a drink and bite at the Buzz Cafe

We’ll then break for lunch where guests can choose to bring their own pack lunch or alternatively purchase wonderful homemade fare from The Buzz Café in the barn.

The Buzz Cafe will be open during and after the event, selling delicious locally sourced sweet treats, drinks, hot savouries and ice cream.

Time to lino print
After lunch, everyone will re-convene to put the finishing touches to their lino cuts before lino printing begins.

By the end of the day, you'll have gained valuable skills and knowledge to continue your printmaking journey. Take home your own lino cut and handcrafted prints as a memento of this memorable day.
