Enjoy a relaxed and inspiring morning developing your creative writing skills in the idyllic setting of Bere Marsh Farm.

Whether you are hoping to write about your travel experiences, memoirs or maybe some poetry, this very social and creative writing workshop led by Ingrid Hayes will offer you techniques and ideas inspired by the natural surroundings of Bere Marsh Farm.

We will start with a guided nature walk by the CRT’s Community Engagement Manager and wildlife enthusiast - Nick Dobbs. The walk will incorporate an exclusive visit to the Angela Hughes Nature Reserve, and we will pause along the way for Ingrid to read out some short inspiring excerpts by published writers.

Returning to the Barns on the farm, there will be an opportunity to enjoy a complimentary tea or coffee and pastry or cake from The Buzz Café. Ingrid will then invite and brief all guests to write a short piece of between 250-500 words. We’ll then re-convene in the rustic setting of the private Threshing Barn to read out writings in turn.

Grab a drink and bite at the Buzz Cafe

The Buzz Cafe will be open during and after the event, selling delicious locally sourced sweet treats, drinks, hot savouries and ice cream.
