Head of Volunteering

Leslie joined the CRT in December 2024 and manages our fantastic teams of CRT volunteers across our CRT farms.

Originally from Florida, Leslie has lived in England since 2003 and loves it here, out in the beautiful countryside. She has many years of experience in conservation, visitor experience, working with and managing volunteers, business management and administration, public speaking and public relations.

"In 2021, I started volunteering in the conservation charity sector. After seeing the benefits of this work, I wanted to dedicate more. In 2023, I decided to take this further by completing a six-month RSPB Conservation Internship – both of which have given me a wealth of experience in rural and countryside management skills.

While studying for my Environmental Science degree, I found a passion for the idea of farming in an environmentally sensitive way, a firm underlying belief of the CRT – “helping to reverse biodiversity decline and making the countryside more resilient to climate change” – a cause I can fully support and stand behind. I hope to help our wonderful volunteers bring the CRT properties to their full potential."
